Photosynthesis

Essential Question

What role does Photosynthesis Play in altering Earth's atmosphere?

When Earth first started, the atmosphere lacked Oxygen gas.  When plants began to emerge, the concentration of air on the planet began to change - PLANTS ADDED OXYGEN.  We know, now that plants produce oxygen through a process called Photosynthesis.  All plants are the main producers of energy for life on our planet.  This section of our Unit will focus on how plants produce energy  - and where that energy goes.
I CAN STATEMENTS
  1. I CAN DEVELOP A MODEL OF PHOTOSYNTHESIS
  2. I CAN DISTINGUISH BETWEEN LIGHT DEPENDENT AND LIGHT INDEPENDENT REACTIONS
  3. I CAN EXPLAIN HOW PHOTOSYNTHESIS CHANGED THE ATMOSPHERE OF EARTH.
